You receive the trained model, the pipeline code, the evaluation harness and documentation, not a black box.
As a rough guide, supervised models need thousands of labelled examples per outcome you want to predict, and the data must reflect the conditions the model will run in. If you do not have that, the first project is usually a data engineering one. We run a data readiness assessment that answers this in about two weeks rather than guessing.
For a scoped problem on data that already exists and is reasonably clean, six to twelve weeks from kickoff to production. Where data has to be collected, labelled or re-engineered first, add one to three months. Anyone quoting a fixed timeline before seeing your data is guessing.
